LETTER FROM GLEN "LEO" QUAN

Dear Friends and Serious Bass Players,

Thank you for supporting my bridge designs over the decades. I am grateful and honored.

I would like to ask for your patience and understanding if you have sent me an email and I haven't responded in a prompt matter. I enjoy answering any emails and letters that I receive personally. Due to the sheer volume of communications that this web site has generated, I am very overwhelmed right now.

Also, I recently learned that the tooling for the Bass II Right Hand String Insert for the high "D" and "G" strings was accidentally damaged, causing a slight shift in tolerance. This, in turn, may cause an interference problem with the little set screw closest to the long spring loaded adjustment screw on some inserts. Before the situation could be clearly communicated down the production line, a small number of bridges and saddles went through the full production process and were released for sale. If you have purchased a Chrome Bass II Bridge or a Nickel Bass II Bridge in their original shrink-wrapped packaging after January 3rd 2005 and found a Right Hand String Saddle with the code "R1 & R2" embossed underneath that demonstrates this interference problem, please email me after January 24th. I will make sure that the defective Right Hand String Saddle is replaced at no charge.

Currently, the tooling for the Bass II String Saddle is being re-engineered, so it will improve the quality and performance of the saddle as well as prevent the tolerance shift from happening again.

I apologize for any inconvenience that either of these situations may have caused you and appreciate your understanding.

With thanks and best regards,

Glen "Leo" Quan
