If you have sent an email for information, request for parts, and especially needing answers to technical questions, we apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Glen likes to answer each email personally and he is a little overwhelmed with the sheer volume of it, right now. While he really appreciates hearing from so many new Bass friends, he can only respond to a few at a time. He asks for your patience and offers his apologies as he is working fiercely to provide you with new products that will help you to better express your Musical Arts.

On the design and production front, Glen is working long days and nights on the new direct replacement bridge for the Fender® American / Deluxe® series basses - it will have two string saddle options, one of which will have pre-formed grooves (yes, finally!). The ongoing tests of the bridge over the last 15 months have been outstanding - it refines all the wonderful sound of the Fender® American / Deluxe® series basses substantially. You will love it! It should be available by July or August.

This new bridge incorporates advances in the metallurgical arts and Glen has managed to integrate the delicate balance of wood and his music metal to create something that has exceeded his own expectations of what he hoped to achieve.

There will be two new string saddle sets for the new bridge, and two new string saddle sets for the venerable Bass II.

There are also several other projects, which are planned for prototype / testing this year, including an all new direct replacement bridge 5 string bridge based on the new technology / metallurgy for the Fender® American / Deluxe® series 5 string basses and we hope to have that new bridge out by October or November.

Things are jumping.

We are also pleased to announce that a new FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions - section for this site is under development, which should answer a lot of your inquires. Additionally, we will be providing a means for you to obtain spare / replacement parts in the near future.

ABOUT LEO QUAN

Leo Quan "Badass" began in 1972 in the workshops of Glen Quan, musician, collector of fine instruments, guitar repairman and stringed instrument restorer. Glen saw a need for a tunable bridge for his personal stage guitars and began building bridges for his own use. Other performers asked him to build these bridges for their instruments, and eventually, the bridges would become the standard for the guitar and bass industry.
